Our Company
Hello and welcome! Although we call ourselves
Red Rose Segway
{ or Red Rose Segway Tours }, some of you may know us as
Red Rose Seg Tours.
Why? Well, when we started in 2009, Red Rose Seg Tours was { and still is } our official name.
After we signed on with Segway Inc. in 2010 to become an
Authorized Segway
Experience Center, we adopted the new Red Rose Segway name.
We thought it might be better for business because not everyone knows what a
Seg is. But then not everyone knows what a Segway is either yet. But we're
working to change that.
Our Philosophy
Well, it's simple: "
Have fun doing what you do; help others have fun, too;
do good for people and the environment; and try really hard to make money while doing it."
The making money part isn't always easy, but we try - hopefully without sacrificing the rest.
Who We Are
Hi, we're Terri and Bob - "
Chief Gliding Officers". Why CGO's?
It sounds better on business cards than "Owners" or "Proprietors".
We took our first Segway tour several years ago and fell in love with the
Segway
experience.
So when on vacation over the next few years, we took a tour if it was available. But it wasn't until after
a tour in February 2009 that we decided it would work well in
downtown Lancaster.
While researching the possibility, we became more excited as the weeks went by. Terri's experience in
tourism and Bob's interest in technology { and anything with wheels } made starting a Segway tour
business a
natural fit.
So, we love gliding around on our Segways and we're
excited to share this experience
with friends, family, local residents, and visitors to Lancaster.
