- Are Segways difficult to operate?
Not at all. It balances itself. You stand on it normally and lean slightly forward or backward to move.

- How safe is a Segway?
If you relax, ride it smoothly and attentively, and be aware of your surroundings, it's as safe -
if not safer than - other modes of transportation.
- Who can use a Segway?
If you can stand, walk, and climb one step without assistance, you can ride a Segway.
- Are there age restrictions for using a Segway?
You must be 16 or older, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Are there weight restrictions for using a Segway?
You must weigh between 100 and 260 pounds.
- How many people can go on a guided Segway tour?
1 to 6 people. We split large parties and do back-to-back or simultaneous tours if we have the resources.
- How long are the guided Segway tours?
90 minutes. The first 30 minutes is training and practice in our shop. And then 60 minutes exploring Lancaster.
- Is previous Segway experience necessary to take a tour?
Not at all. Our training prepares you well for what we'll encounter on the tour.
- Do the tours run on the sidewalks or on the street?
Primarily on the sidewalks and in some alleys. We cross streets in the crosswalks at intersections.
- What happens if it rains when my Segway tour is scheduled?
In light rain, we hand out ponchos. We cancel or postpone tours in heavy rain or thunderstorms.
- Can I purchase a Segway from Red Rose Segway?
As an Authorized Segway Experience Center, we can help you purchase Segway PT's and accessories.
- Does Red Rose Segway provide service for Segways?
As an Authorized Segway Experience Center, we're a Certified Level 2 service center.
