What Tours We Offer Hear Ye! New! "Keys For The City" Piano Tour - See and hear the pianos scattered throughout downtown Lancaster by the city's own Music For Everyone and Society of Design non-profit organizations. Glide through the city and view the uniquely decorated pianos. Hear about the designers, sponsors, and fun backstories. Someone is often playing and accompanying vocally or instrumentally. $10 of each participant's tour cost will be donated to the two groups. Lancaster City Tour - See the wonderful historic and modern sites and sights of downtown Lancaster. Hear fun stories about Lancaster's past. See the cultural diversity. A great mix of old and new. Lancaster ain't just Amish! Ghosts & Graveyards Tour - Hear eerie stories from Lancaster's past and present! See the cemeteries, graveyards, and buildings where they allegedly occur. And learn some spooky stuff about Lancaster's past famous figures! Lancaster Arts Tour - Lancaster has become quite an arts destination. See the street murals, galleries and shops, and public art close up! Hear about the famous people who have performed in Lancaster's theaters and music venues! Mini-Glide - Learn how to use a Segway and glide around a section of downtown Lancaster. It's fun and attracts attention! General Tour Info Tours are fully narrated and escorted, and utilize a very compact sound system - microphone and transmitter for the guide, and earpiece and receiver for each participant. No prior Segway experience is required. Segway and safety orientation, hands-on training and practice time are provided at the start of each tour. The Segways will be ridden on the often uneven sidewalks, side streets, and alleys. During tours, there will be opportunities to stop and stretch your legs and take pictures. Bottled water for the breaks is provided free of charge. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled tour time for paperwork and preparation. Sunglasses are recommended on sunny days. Tours must be paid for when booked with cash or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & Visa Check). Once purchased, tour tickets are non-refundable. But if a tour must be cancelled (based on weather conditions or other extenuating circumstances), participants may reschedule for another date and time. Tour Requirements Red Rose Segway reserves the right to deny Segway use for any reason the owners feel could result in injury. Each participant must: be at least 16 years of age (with a valid driver's license or permit). Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. be able to stand and walk unassisted for an extended period of time, and climb at least one step. weigh between 100 and 260 pounds. wear a helmet (provided free of charge). sign a liability waiver in order to participate in a tour. wear appropriate footwear. What We Sell & Service As an authorized Segway Experience Center - we sell new Segway PT i2's and x2's, and accessories. We're also an authorized certified level 2 service center. Looking for used? As we replace the i2's in our tour fleet with new machines, we also sell those used i2's. We sell to individuals, businesses, institutions, and organizations. A signed contract specifying fees, security deposits, rider requirements, owner responsibilities, exclusions, terms, waivers, and authorizations is required. A credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) is required for payment and to place a hold for the security deposit. We provide appropriate training to all renters.
